The Department of Immigration and Citizenship services has launched a manhunt for former principal secretary for Lands, Housing and Urban Development Joseph Mwandidya.
The department, through its director general Charles Kalumo, has circulated an alert to its boarder posts advising its workers to arrest Mwandidya.
The alert, which we have seen, says that the former civil servant, is wanted by the Anti-corruption Bureau.
“Mount patrols and ask all male Malawians to produce national identification card or passport…If Mr. Joseph Mwandidya is found take him to the nearest Police station or office.
“Report to the director general when Joseph Mwandidya is found and apprehended,” the memo reads.
Meanwhile, Immigration Department national spokesperson Pasqually Zulu asked for more time before commenting on the matter.
