A 7-year-old boy identified as Rashid Ndeleman has died after being hit by a motor vehicle’s tyre in Nkhotakota.
Nkhotakota police Public Relations Officer Paul Malimwe has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Malimwe, the boy was hit by a Scania truck’s tyre, which detached from its hub at Mpondagaga trading center along Nkhotakota-Salima M5 road.
The boy was pronounced dead upon arrival at Nkhotakota district hospital.
