Azimio la Umoja’s chief Raila Odinga is yet to move on after losing presidential election to his counterpart William Ruto of Kenya Kwanza and therefore considering to embark with serious plans which might see him in the government as well as in opposition.

According to a report covered by a Swahili newspaper Taifa Leo, a Kenyan citizen has made a petition to the independent electoral and boundary commission that could see Raila Odinga being nominated as a member of parliament literally after coming second in the presidential results.

“Mkenya awasilisha ombi kwa IEBC akitaka nambari mbili katika kura ya uraisi ateuliwe Kama mbunge”, the headline hinted.

Apparently if reports in the media are true, then the veteran opposition leader will be eyeing to make a return to parliament 10 years after he represented lang’ata constituency from 1997 to 2003.

Ideally, answering such prayers might be hard as constitution always has it’s say on such matters but as they always say ‘ law can be changed’ then we have no option but to wait and see how IEBC will respond.

Meanwhile, trusted sources are claiming that Odinga might be considering as well to give Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka the mantle to lead Azimio la Umoja ahead of 2027 polls.
