A SUSPECT in the murder of a Zambian businessman based in South Africa has handed himself to the police in Port Elizabeth three weeks after the gruesome crime.
Goodson Chomba 34, was stabbed by unknown people in unexplained circumstances on September 27, 2022 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
He is said to have been stabbed several times and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival and was buried on October 8.
Officers working on the case detained a woman whose son they believed was involved in the murder.
On hearing that his mother was in detention, the suspect walked himself to the police where he was apprehended and detained.
The mother to the deceased, Anna Chama, said the family would not rest until her son’s assailants were brought to book and justice prevails.
