A three year old child has died in a fire accident in Dowa, police confirm.
According to Mponela police publicist, Macpatson Msadala, the incident happened yesterday at Mtseketama village in the district.
According to the father of the child, Staliko Maseya, the little boy was playing by himself in a glass thatched kitchen.
In the course of playing, the child accidentally lit up a heap of glass therein and failed to find his way out.
Postmortem has shown that death was due to suffocation and severe burns.
