First Lady Monica Chakwera has advised women at to be prayerful and become pacesetters in empowering themselves.

Madame Monica Chakwera joined Malawi Assemblies of God 2022 National Women’s Ministries Annual Convention at Kamuzu Academy in Kasungu.

The convention is being conducted under the theme ‘Raising an Army of Generational Trailblazers’.

The first lady said any woman chosen to be part of the convention also chose peace and  must be prayerful as things become difficult at this stage, and must realize that there is God.

“In everything you do put God first, whether in your business, career everything seek God’s guidance because to be a pacesetter is not an easy road to take.” She said

She also urged the women to make use of the wisdom instilled in them during the convention so that they succeed in life.

Malawi Assemblies of God’s National Women’s Director Chimango Mlowoka challenged the women to leave a mark before leaving the earth.

“As women we should leave a trail where people should know that there was this woman who once lived here on earth,” said Mlowoka.

Reverend Dr Matilda Matabwa, who is also Malawi Assemblies of God General Secretary, said the topics that have been selected will help to empower women and ‘Developing a mindset for Generation.
