Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife has sealed Hostellerie de France Lodge in Namiwawa Township in the commercial capital Blantyre over negligence of some workers resulting to the death of a 9 year old boy.

The fact of the matter is that a week ago the boy together with his sister went to the Lodge to have fun ahead of the schools opening on October 10, 2022.

While there, the boy drowned in a swimming pool in full view of workers but the workers refused to rescue the boy, saying they were on strike.

It took the intervention of well-wishers to rescue the boy but it was too late.

The boy was pronounced dead upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth Central (QECH) in Blantyre hours later.
