President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has appointed Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Member of Parliament for Dowa West Sam Dalitso Kawale as new Minister of Agriculture.
The appointment of Kawale follows the firing of Lobin Lowe and his deputy Madalitso Kambauwa Wilima over Mk750 million AIP botched deal.
President Chakwera announced the change on Tuesday night during his state of the nation address at Kamuzu Palace.
Chakwera also hinted that he will soon overhaul the cabinet.
The President also threatened that will not keep people in his cabinet who have no remarkable contribution to his government’s development agenda.
