Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) councilor for Blantyre City Soche East Ward is one of the leading organizers of anti-government demonstrations in Blantyre.
Meanwhile, the demonstrations are underway with heavy police escort.
According to the lead organizers the purpose of the protests is to force President Lazarus Chakwera to take action on the mess the country is currently in or step down.
The demonstrations are taking place in Blantyre and Zomba. Tomorrow the demonstrations will be in Lilongwe in which the state house will be their destination.
