Controversial Zambia politician Sean Tembo president for Patriots for Economic Progress has said he will is planning on donating a calculator to President Hakainde Hichilema tomorrow at state house.
Writing on his official Facebook page Tembo said he intends to help President Hichilema to make accurate and correct calculations to help him reduce fuel prices as he promised while in opposition.
Tembo’s remarks follows recent fuel prices hike by the country’s energy board.
“Based on President Hichilema’s failure to reduce fuel prices to below K16 per litre, where he found it upon ascending to office, it is evident that the calculator he is using might be faulty,” read part of Tembo’s statement.
He added; “Therefore, our donation of a brand new calculator is in line with the mandate of the opposition to assist the Government of the day in running the affairs of the nation.”
While calling on all media houses to witness the donation, Tembo said he is hoping that the calculator will help Hichilema to finally succeed to reduce fuel prices going forward.
