Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) will tomorrow hold a press briefing in the capital Lilongwe on socio economic challenges rocking the country.

This is according to a statement seen by this publication, found on the Coalition’s official Facebook page.

The media briefing which will start at 2:00 in the afternoon, will be chaired by the Coalition’s chairperson Gift Trapence.

After being silent for over two years since Tonse Alliance came into power, the coalition has made a comeback saying “enough is enough”

However, Malawians have expressed their disappointment as they accuse the coalition of selling them out in reference to the demonstrations they led from 2019-2020 against the then head of state, Professor Peter Mutharika.

Among others Malawians, feel that HRDC is not in any position to say anything considering that they are responsible for what Malawians are going through today.

Adding to that, Malawians accused HRDC of siding with the Tonse Alliance administration led by President Lazarus Chakwera hence their failure to speaking out when things are not progressing.
