Archbishop Desmond Tambala of the Archdiocese of Lilongwe has appealed to congregants to move in and rescue Radio Alinafe by contributing money amounting to MK8, 383, 022.00 which the institution owes the Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority (MACRA).
Archbishop Desmond Tambala has made the appeal in a letter dated November 6, 2022 seen by this publication.
In the letter, Archbishop Tambala has asked all parishes under the Lilongwe Archdiocese to contribute money amounting to Mk200, 000 each.
The radio station has up until 12, November 2022 to square the licence fees or MACRA body will seal off the station.
