The human rights grouping under Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) is blaming acting Chief Executive Officer for National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) Hellen Buluma for stimulating the fuel crisis rocking the country.

Speaking this afternoon during the media briefing under the theme “enough is enough”, HRDC called on President Lazarus Chakwera to dismiss Buluma.

The coalition’s chairperson Gift Trapence has also called on Chakwera to fire all underperforming government ministers.

Trapence has therefore threatened that on December 7, 2022 they will go to the streets and demonstrate against the Chakwera led administration and Tonse Alliance if the fuel crisis continues.

For over two weeks now, Malawians have been struggling to buy fuel as the commodity is unavailable.

However, government has said it is working tirelessly to ensure that the commodity is much available in the country.

At the moment so Malawians are flooding to Zambia especially those residing nearing Chipata to buy fuel.
