Consumers Association of Malawi (CAMA) has told Malawians not to expect President Lazarus Chakwera to fix socio economic challenges that are rocking the country.

CAMA said this in a statement dated November 4, 2022 made available to this publication whereby the association’s Executive Director John Kapito stressed that Chakwera has no capacity to fix the challenges.

“Malawians should not expect President Chakwera to fix the current Economic and Social challenges facing them on daily basis, it has become very clear that President Chakwera has no capacity to fix these challenges,” read part of the statement.

According to Kapito, President Chakwera is not the leader of action but words and he keeps giving Malawians false promises as he confuses the art of making promises at church gatherings from those at political rallies.

The statement continued that President Chakwera has no economic or social plan to stimulate the economy as he still believes in making false promises as a way of getting to the top.

“The President has made many and keeps on making unrealistic promises now even at a time when it’s obvious that his ship is sunk and people are asking from where he gets all these funny unrealistic promises that he makes and he is never short of them and is never ashamed at making these promises,” Kapito said.

However, government through the minister of Information Gospel Kazako has been telling Malawians that they are working tireless to fix the current economic situation.

In a series of public address, President Lazarus Chakwera has been admitting and acknowledging that Malawians are going through hard times but it will be over soon.
