Govt kicks out Accountant General Jean Munyenyembe

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that the Tonse Alliance government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has fired Accountant General Jean Munyenyembe over allowance scandals at the Ministry of Finance.
Munyenyembe has been replaced by Henry Kissinger Mphasa.
Minister of Finance and Economic Development Sosten Gwengwe has confirmed of the development, saying Munyenyembe has been re-deployed somewhere.
Mnyenyembe leaves office after a massive allowance scandal at the department, which has seen the Malawi government lose close to K300 million and got 40 officers arrested.
