Former Board Chairperson Alexander Dzonzi for Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) has told a parliamentary joint committee that the corporation paid over K39m in insurance for personal vehicles of ADMARC employees.

Dzonzi has said the transaction was done illegally since there is no valid policy that guarantees the company to pay vehicle insurance for personal cars.

The former board chairperson simply described fraud and corruption at ADMARC as a Casino culture.

The audit report also alleges that the grain trader made a medical insurance payment to Medical Society of Malawi (MASM) for non-staff and some employees included their children above 28 years old as beneficiaries of the scheme.
