The National Planning Commission (NPC) has awarded certificates of recognition to the country’s former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
The NPC has also awarded certificates of recognition to former President Bingu wa Mutharika who ruled the country from 2004 to 2012.
The two leaders have been recognized for the achievements the two leaders made during their respective terms of office.
This is in-line with the commission’s MW2063 vision to recognise people who made significant contributions to the country.
Mutharika has since thanked NPC for the recognition.
