United Democratic Front (UDF) has reacted to reports that its former leader Atupele Muluzi has been summoned by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
According to ACB statement, Muluzi has been asked to appear before its offices today at Mulanje House, city center in the capital Lilongwe around 2.
According to ACB Czar Martha Chizuma, Muluzi has been called in for questioning in connection to the allocation of Plot Numbers Bwaila 13/127 and 13/128.
In the statement seen by this publication, UDF described the summon as a sad development and has called on its members to show solidarity to their former leader as he will be appearing before the ACB.
“This is a sad development and leaders, members and supporters of the party who would like to peacefully express their concern and moral support to Rt. Hon. Atupele Muluzi can do so,” read part of the statement.
