Fire has gutted down part of Ntcheu Secondary School Kitchen last night.

The school’s head teacher Jillies Puma confirmed the development to the press.

According to Puma, the fire started soon after the lights came back on after a blackout.

Among others, the roof and a fridge are the things that have been destroyed from the fire.

Police with the help from the students managed to put out the fire before causing more damage.

According to Puma, food meant for the students and classes were not affected.
