Information reaching this publication indicates that Bakers Pride is set remove about 150 employees.
According to union chairperson Wanangwa Mkandawire, the employees have been told not to work and they have been blocked from entering the company’s operations area.
Mkandawire said employees are shocked because the company has not followed retrenchment procedures.
Meanwhile, the officials from Bakers Pride are yet to comment on the matter.
