Medecins San Frontieres (MSF) has set up a cholera treatment unit at Cape Maclear in Mangochi to fight the outbreak in the country.

MSF has set up 10 beds, latrines, bathrooms, handwashing stations and waste disposal zones.

A week after the activity project, three hundred and twenty four patients were admitted and provided with medical care.

Every need is also being provided to the patients as well as guardians to avoid transmission onsite.

MSF also supports Koche Hospital at Cape Maclear to contain the disease and treat patients, it has set up some facilities like 50 beds, bathing and latrine facilities, water pumps, laundry area, morgue and waste disposal facilities.
