Balaka-based musician Paul Subili, who is Alleluya Band leader, is now Village Head Sawa.
Subili who alongside Rod Valamanja, are known by the moniker Njobvu Zaku Balaka for their music, assumed the traditional leadership role last Sunday at Sawa Village Ground in Balaka, where Alleluya Band also performed.
The artist says he will continue with his music while serving people as a traditional leader in his area, which is under Group Village Head Kapasule, in the area of Traditional Authority Matola.
Subili joins other artists who are now serving as traditional leaders and these include veteran musician Ben Mankhamba, who is Village Head Chingalire of Lilongwe.
