The government of Zambia has settled to recruit Pamela Chisupa (mobile money agent) and 8 other girls who were rescued from abductors months ago.

According to reports from Zambia, only 9 girls qualified to be recruited in accordance to their school results and they will be recruited under special president powers.

“People think we have neglected the girls because we have chosen to keep our plans secret. We would have taken all of them for training but others don’t have good results including those student nurses; other only passed in 4 subjects but they were allowed in a nursing school with a view of them rewriting GCE before final GNC exams. So we only have 9 who qualify and they will be recruited under special Presidential powers. But this won’t be a forcing matter, those who won’t accept the offer we will allow them to decide how best they want us to assist them,” Zambian Government official said.

Pamela was reported missing on April 13, 2022, from her mobile money booth in Lusaka’s Central Business District.

She was rescued together with 13 other girls and 8 people were arrested.
