Soldiers of the Malawi Defense Force (MDF) have been described as the most reliable global partners in helping countries that are facing wars and tensions.
David Pert, a British Commissioner to Malawi said the remarks in Machinga at Chikala Hills during the closing of 12 weeks training for 731 troops who are set for deployment to Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on peacekeeping mission.
United States Ambassador to Malawi David Young said America is committed to supporting the MDF’s peacekeeping training.
In his remarks MDF chief of staff Major General George Jaffu asked the troops to be professional and exercise discipline when executing their duties.
The troops will deploy next year in January.
