Former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has said that the party will soon hold a mega rally in the eastern district of Mangochi.
Mutharika said this upon his return from the funeral of Senior Chief Mponda who died at his home after a long battle with High Blood Pressure.
According to Mutharika, during the rally the party will tackle issues of national interest affecting Malawians.
Mutharika has since appealed to DPP supporters to remain calm and continue supporting the party.
He also hinted that the opposition DPP will win the forthcoming 2025 polls.
