Heavy rains destroy houses in Salima

At least 55 households have been affected with heavy rains in the areas of Traditional Authorities (T/A) Pemba and Maganga in Salima district.
Relief and Rehabilitation Officer in the district Glory Chinangwa confirmed the development.
According to Chinanga, at least 250 people are heavily affected of which 56 are children under the age of 5.
The heavy rains fell on Wednesday night.
