A 7-year old girl died suddenly in Blantyre after falling into a septic tank under construction at her parents home in Chirimba Township.
It is reported that, on November 11,2022, the deceased Alisha Banda of Suya village in the area of Traditional Authority Machinjiri in Blantyre district, was playing in the rain with her friends at her parents home when she accidentally fell into the unfinished septic tank.
The report indicates that, well wishers managed to rescue her from the tank and rushed her to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Postmortem results revealed that, death was due to suffocation.
Meanwhile, Police in the district are advising the public to always monitor their children to avoid accidents of this nature.
