A 43-year-old man Boyce Lloyd Gondwe who allegedly attempted to slight his throat while traveling in a Monorurama Bus on November 18 2022 has died at Kamuzu Central Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Kasungu Police publicist Joseph Kachikho has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
Gondwe apparently attempted to slit his own throat soon after the bus, which was on its way from South Africa to Mzuzu, passed Chisazima Roadblock in Kasungu.
According to Kachikho, soon after leaving the roadblock, Gondwe took out a knife and stabbed himself on the neck.
Meanwhile, funeral arrangements are in process.
