Member of Parliament for Mzimba North, Yeremia Chihana has been kicked out of Parliament for allegedly misbehaving in the chamber.

Chihana was asked by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Catherine Gotani Hara, to bring forth the evidence regarding his alleged claims that the Tonse Alliance stole K30 billion meant for the Affordable Inputs Programme.

Earlier this morning, Chihana submitted the evidence to the office of the Speaker but after scrutinizing the evidence the Second Deputy Speaker Aisha Adams ruled the evidence as invalid.

The Deputy Speaker went further to ask Chihana to withdraw the matter and apologize to the house for his misleading allegations.

But Chihana refused to do so forcing the Deputy Speaker to suspend him for a week.

Chihana is expected to appear in Parliament on Monday morning.
