Parliament has suspended deliberations for 20 minutes to allow Member of Parliament for Mzimba North, Yeremia Chihana, to provide evidence on the allegations he made in the house last week that the government stole K30 billion meant for the Affordable Inputs Programme.
Chihana was asked by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Catherine Gotani Hara, to bring forth the evidence failing which he would be subjected to disciplinary action.
Earlier this morning, Chihana submitted the evidence to the office of the Speaker.
Hara confirmed receiving documents from Chihana containing the alleged evidence.
