Angry refugees at Dzaleka refugee camp in Dowa District yesterday broken a warehouse after allegedly being removed on a list of relief items that were being distributed.
Dowa police Station spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha confirmed the development.
M’bumpha said they have arrested two people who were in connection to the issue.
According to one eyewitness James Mboko, officials at the camp were distributing items to the refugees including bedsheets, tents and other things, and some households realized that they were excluded on the list.
The angry residents allegedly broke into the warehouse and went away with several items including bags of floor, tents and other things.
