Former deputy chief executive officer for Nation Oil Company (NOCMA) Limited Hellen Buluma has insisted that she resigned.
Buluma said this in parliament today before the Public Appointment Committee (PAC).
According to Buluma, she sent her resignation letter to Secretary of the President and Cabinet (SPC) Colleen Zamba on November 14, 2022 through WhatsApp.
This is contrary to a letter issued Zamba notifying the public on the firing of Buluma which indicated that she had been fired on November 15.
“On 15 November I was working and the SPC issued me instructions as my boss. On the morning of 16 November I was also working. So I do not know why the SPC issued a letter on the afternoon of 16 November claiming that I had been fired on 15 November,” said Buluma.
At the moment, Buluma is appearing before PAC in parliament where she is answering on allegations she made in her resignation letter.
