Multi-award winning sports presenter Danger Williams Gondwa has resigned from Times Group after securing a new job in the capital Lilongwe.

Gondwa, popularly known as Danger Left Winger in the sports circle has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page.

“This is to notify you that I will be leaving Times Group as I have accepted a post with FARM RADIO TRUST ORGANIZATION in Lilongwe.

“As a result, I will be relocating to Lilongwe by the end of this month to take up the new challenge,” wrote Gondwa.

Gondwa has since hailed Times Group Managing Director Leonard Chikadya for the support rendered to him.

“I would like to personally thank the Managing Director of Times Group, Mr Leonard Chikadya for the support he rendered to me during all the years that I have been with Times Group.

“More importantly i would like to thank my colleagues at Times for the healthy professional and individual relationships we managed to build and sustain during my stay. May God reward each and everyone of them for their contribution towards my career and personal growth,” he added.

He added: “I am proud that I was part of the founding employees of Times Radio and contributed to the growth of the Times brand. I feel proud that I became a household name for Times during my seven year stay at the institution where i won several awards including the 2018 best TNM Super League Radio Commentator.”

Before joining Times Group, Gondwe also worked with MIJ fm and Matindi Fm.
