The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Justice Chifundo Kachale said time has come for Malawians to be independent and stop relying on politicians in everything.
Made the remarks during a panel discussion organized by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) under the theme “Restoring Patriotism and professionalism to the workplace”.
According to Kachale, the country is failing to fight against corruption because everything is politicized.
He further said Malawi has people who are patriotic and professional enough to change the country’s development agenda hence mindset change is required.
