Unicaf University and the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing programs that can benefit MDF staff.
Unicaf University Vice Chancellor Robert Ridley signed the MOU alongside Major General George Jaffu on behalf of the two institutions.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Unicaf University Vice Chancellor Robert Ridley said he was delighted with the agreement as it will be beneficial for both sides.
“We would like to work with MDF to identify the best research projects that their staff can undertake,” Ridley said.
On his part, Director of Human Resources at MDF, Brigadier General Sydney Linyama said programs like Human Resources and Security Studies, which the university is offering, will help the staff explore different opportunities when they retire.
“The knowledge that MDF staff will gain from the studies will enable them to plan or even and get employed in public institutions after retirement.” Linyama said.
