Malawi World Vision under the Tiwerenge 365 development program yesterday donated 180 modern desks at several primary schools in Nkhata Bay district.
According to Clement Nyirenda, the District Chief Education Officer, forty schools in the district have recorded cases of theft in various school properties since March this year which interrupts the development of quality education.
The desks were donated to schools like Sanga primary school, Kande Primary School as well as Kachere primary school in the district.
The World Vision through the “Gift In Kind” donated the desks to reduce shortage of desks in schools in the country.
