Police in Mwanza have arrested a 28 year old driver, Stallion Chakalamba for ferrying 10 Malawians aged between 21 and 44 to South Africa.
According Mwanza police spokesperson Edwin Kaunda, the incident took place at Neno Turn-off along Neno -Mpatamanga road during the night of 30 November 2022 and 1 December 2022.
Kaunda said the police received a tip from well wishers and discovered the 10 in Toyota Probox five of whom were women and all are from Mzimba.
He said the 10 were promised jobs in South Africa.
Chakalamba will appear before court soon.
