Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa has spoken against earlier arrest of Ant-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma.

Nankhumwa described the situation as sad for democracy and the fight against corruption in the country.

He added that the arrest does not make sense because the issue warranting it is already in court.

Chizuma was arrested in the morning and was being kept at Namitete police station in Lilonmgwe.

She was later released on bail and charged with in relation to January-leaked audio clip in which she was discussing work related issues with unidentified person.
