State House has defended President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s delay in reshuffling his Cabinet.

In October this year, President Chakwera fired Minister of Agriculture Lobin Lowe and his deputy Madalitso Kambauwa Wirima over dubious deals surrounding procurement of fertilizer under the Affordable Input Programme (AIP).

The deal saw government being duped MK750 million.

Chakwera then promised to reshuffle his Cabinet soon but up until now nothing has happened as non-performing Ministers are still holding their post.

The delay has attracted mixed reactions with many claiming that Chakwera is good at talking but action is zero.

Speaking in an interview with the press State House Press Officer Anthony Kasunda brushed off the claims.

Kasunda said did not specify a time frame on when he would make a reshuffle of his cabinet.

Meanwhile, it is not known as to when Chakwera will reshuffle his Cabinet.
