Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Leonard Chimbanga has saluted Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma’s determination toward fight against corruption in the country.
Chimbanga’s remarks follow Chuzuma’s speech in Kasungu during the International Anti-Corruption Day where she warn politicians to desist from the malpractice.
Chizuma said the bureau will not fear any political connections, money or power in the fight against corruption.
She said every corruption report will be investigated and culprits will be brought to book at any cost.
She has warned corrupt individuals that their efforts to discredit the bureau and cripple its functions will only make the bureau stronger.
Reaction to the development Chimbanga said: “Martha Chizuma has just delivered one of the greatest speeches as an ACB Director. It was in Chichewa. It should be made available to every Malawian. #Kuswakuswa.”
