Malawians will from December 15 2022 experienced prolonged power cut as Nkula B power station will be shutdown to repair a bypass pipe of unit 4 penstock.
The Electricity Generation Company (EGENCO) has announced in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
According to the statement, the repairing process will last for 4 days and will result in unavailability of 100 Mega Watts on the national grid.
The maintenance works will require complete shutdown of Nkula B power station and dewatering of its only tunnel.
