Households from Traditional Authority (T/A) Kiluppula in Karonga have praised government through Department of Management Affairs (DODMA) for providing them with relief maize.

Four hundred and fifteen households of Mwaingemo and Gwereweta have benefited from DODMA since their food and houses were destroyed by stormy rains about two weeks ago.

One of the beneficiaries, Annie Mbiga of Mwaingemo village said people were starving and they were living in school blocks.

“We really appreciate for the good work that government trough DODMA did by assisting us with roofing materials for our houses and provided us with maize for food,” said Mbiga.
