The Ministry of Unity and Civic Education has said one of the steps to push the country into the right direction in as far as progress is concerned, is forbidding regionalism divide.
The director of civic education in unity ministry Misheck Munthali said this yesterday in the capital Lilongwe during a follow up meeting on the same.
According to Munthali, regionalism divide and other vices as matters of the mind, adding it is for this reason that the ministry is championing the mindset change enabler of Malawi 2063 Agenda.
Stakeholders at the meeting hailed the Civic Education Technical Working Group (CETWG) initiative, observing that people cannot change their minds without knowledge, hence the need for a well-coordinated civic education initiative.
Last month the ministry established the CETWG to safeguard the civic education space in the country.
