The on-going infighting in the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has finally come to an end as the two camp on Saturday dined together at a rally held in the eastern district of Mangochi.

Former President Peter Mutharika and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa have been in bad blood since the party was booted out of power.

Mutharika accused Nankhumwa of being behind the downfall of the opposition DPP in 2020 fresh Presidential polls.

But on Saturday the story was different, the two were spotted sharing notes at a rally held at St. Augustine Ground in Mangochi.

As this was not enough, Nankhumwa welcomed Mutharika at rally.

Some top officials took to social media to celebrate the re-union of Nankhumwa and Mutharika.

“There is #One #DPP. The road to 2025 has begun,” wrote DPP councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Ward Leonard Chimbanga.
