The Malawi Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has accused President Lazarus Chakwera of failing to run government affairs this year.

According to Micheal Kaiyatsa Acting Vice Chairperson for HRDC, President Chakwera did not manage to deal with cases of corruption which is at a worrisome point in the country.

Kaiyatsa continued that President Chakwera’s leadership has failed to fix issues of forex which is causing fuel crisis in the country.

He added that failure by government to overcome economic challenges and issues of blackout affecting businesses are signs of poor governance.

There is no immediate response from the government side on the matter.
