Alliance for Democracy (Aford) has disclosed that it is seeking legal opinion before acting on Yeremia Chihana’s ‘association’ with Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Chihana, who won on Aford ticket in Mzimba North Constituency, has been spotted at rallies conducted by DPP president Peter Mutharika, at Njamba in Blantyre and recently in Mangochi.

As this was not enough, in the just ended Parliament deliberations Chihana was spotted dining with leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa.

Speaking in an interview, Aford Secretary General Wakuda Kamanga said the party is suspicious with Chihana’s association with DPP.

According to Kamanga, Chihana never consults the party when attending such events.

Meanwhile, rumours are all over social media claiming that Chihana is planning to join the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Chihana is yet to comment on the matter.
