Twelve District Education Officers has been transferred  in different councils across Malawi by the Local Government Service Commission.

Executive Secretary for the Commission, Berlings Kumpata said the transfers have come to improve education standards in local councils.

According to Educationist, Wesley Mwambakulu, the transfers will bring positive impact to the councils having low quality education in the country.

The following 12 affected district councils are; Ntcheu, Phalombe, Zomba, Chikwawa,Thyolo, Blantyre, Nsanje, Nkhotakota, Nkhatabay, Chitipa, Kasungu and Mulanje.
