A member of the late Senior Chief Mponda’s family in Mangochi, group Village head Malunda said the family of Mponda will soon choose the right successor of the late Chief who died on November 15, 2022.
This was mentioned today when Leader of Opposition in parliament, Kondwani Nankhumwa visited to offer his condolences.
Malunda said after memorial prayers to observe 40 days after his death, scheduled for Saturday, 30 December 2022, the family will now have time meet.
Nankhumwa has promised the family that he will construct four tombstones, starting from the first chief to the last one, whereby the family of late chief Mponda asked him to do so.
