United Transformation Movement (UTM) has trashed rumours hovering on social media claiming that the party President Dr. Saulos Chilima is planning to hold media briefing regarding the ongoing infighting in Tonse Alliance.
The rumours followed recent statement by Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) President Enoch Chihana who claimed that Tonse Alliance is dead.
Writing on her official facebook page Winnie Nyondo, one of Chilima’s media team quashed the rumours.
“The vice president Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima who’s also UTM president akadzakhala ndi press briefing mudzauzidwa from real ones NOT tundondosha twa ma propaganda utu yayi. Thank you,” wrote Nyondo.
Meanwhile, some UTM members are asking Chilima to pull out of the Tonse Alliance.
The members claim that the party is being sidelined.
