Police in Mulanje have confirmed the death of unidentified woman who was found dead in Ruo river at Lujeri old hydro power station.
According to Mulanje Police Spokesperson Innocent Moses, the matter was reported by a tour guard, Samson Chisathe aged 46 at Muloza Police post after finding the body.
The body was found in a decomposed state in the river.
Following the Postmortem results, the death was due to suffocation.
